A beautiful short story for children about sharing, friendship, and how kindness can make even the saddest day bright again.
Once upon a time, in the deep blue sea, there lived a shiny fish named Rainbow.
Her scales sparkled with all the colors of the rainbow, and every fish admired her beauty.
But Rainbow loved her colors so much that she never shared her time or happiness with anyone. She always swam alone, showing off her shimmering tail.
One day, as Rainbow swam near the surface, she saw a small lonely cloud floating in the sky. The cloud looked sad and gray.
“Why are you so gloomy?” asked Rainbow.
“I have no colors,” sighed the cloud. “The sun hides from me, and I feel invisible.”
Rainbow looked at her glowing reflection in the water and felt something new — a tiny spark of kindness.
She flicked her tail, and a few shiny scales floated up to the sky.
The cloud caught them and suddenly began to shine with soft pink, yellow, and blue colors.
“Wow!” said the cloud joyfully. “Now I can share your colors with the world!”
The cloud drifted away, spreading a beautiful rainbow across the sky.
When the other sea creatures looked up in wonder, Rainbow smiled for the first time — not because she was the most beautiful, but because she had shared her beauty.
